Since 1978, Pathways (formerly Child and Family Services) has put private, State and Federal dollars to work for children, families and child care providers throughout the greater Los Angeles area. This year, Pathways:
Subsidized 631,728 days of care for 30,823 children whose parents were working, seeking work or attending school.
Delivered 10,981 hours of Early Intervention Services to 1,603 children through our Center Based, Home Visit and Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) programs.
Participated in the Child and Adult Day Care Food Program providing 15,852 nutritious meals to 34 children in our Center Based program.
Responded to 2,767 requests for child care referrals and 8,793 requests for family support and provider assistance information through the Child Care Resource and Referral program.
Provided 37,884 days of early childhood education to 154 children in general child care, serviced through the Berendo Project and West Hollywood Preschool. There were 246 days of subsidized care.
Assisted 541 CalWORKs (Stage 1) recipients in selecting and located child care as they entered job training or employment and helped pay for the child care of 1,831 Stage 1 families.
Coordinated 104 trainings, attended by 2,185 child care providers.
The mission of Pathways is to ensure that families have access to high quality, inclusive child development programs and resources so that all children can achieve their full potential.
