Early Intervention (EI) provides three types of services to children and families through several referral sources and contracts:
- Center based programs - These include West Hollywood preschool, and Family Child Care Network.
- Home based program - This program provides assessments and intervention services in the homes of children, ages birth to three years, with special needs.
- LAUSD/Head Start Program - This program provides intervention services to children with special needs from ages 3 to 5 during the regular school year.
Pathways is also the lead agency for the Special Needs Access Project (SNAP), a county-wide initiative to provide education and resources for families and child care providers, in order to increase opportunity for children with special needs to have a place in quality early care and education programs.
